Getting Ready at a Bluff Street Airbnb
The day began at a charming Airbnb on Bluff Street in Dubuque, where Alex and her bridesmaids enjoyed a fun morning of pampering. Everyone was buzzing with excitement for the big day as Alex’s makeup and hair team got her looking flawless! The Airbnb provided a cozy and intimate setting, perfect for capturing those early getting ready moments.
A Heartfelt First Look in Washington Park
Just across the street from the Airbnb, Alex and Luke shared their first look in Washington Park. With its lush greenery, the park was the perfect backdrop for an emotional and private moment between the couple. They couldn’t have picked a more picturesque spot for a bit of quiet before the whirlwind of the day truly began! The joy and love in their expressions as they saw each other for the first time that day made for some of the most touching photos!
A Classic Ceremony at St. Columbkille Catholic Church
St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Dubuque set the stage for a timeless and elegant wedding ceremony. The grand architecture and warm, welcoming atmosphere of the church made for a beautiful setting as Alex and Luke exchanged their vows. Following the ceremony, family and formal portraits were taken in the church, making for some truly special keepsakes.
Scenic Photos at the End of Rush Street
After the ceremony, we made a special stop at the end of Rush Street–an iconic Dubuque location with breathtaking views overlooking the city and the Illinois bridge! Luke’s Mustang became a fun prop in their wedding photos, adding a unique touch and perfectly capturing their personalities in a way that was both stylish and sentimental!
A Joyful Reception at The Peosta Center
The celebration continued at The Peosta Center, where guests welcomed the newlyweds with a shower of flower petals as they entered the venue. The reception was filled with heartfelt toasts, lively dances, and all the traditional wedding festivities, including the bouquet and garter toss.
One of the most fun moments of the night was the couple’s celebratory champagne spray on the Peosta Center’s outdoor patio. The joy on Alex’s face was absolutely infectious, capturing her fun-loving and expressive personality perfectly!
