I was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa and I've been a professional wedding photographer for over 25 years.

But that's just a small part of who I am.

Here's the rest...

I'm Eric.

Hey,

FAVORITE THINGS

just a few of my

1.

When I was young, I was on the swim team, but I would have loved to do Artistic Swimming (aka synchronized swimming). Now a days, my favorite activity is playing "shark attack" with my grandkids where I swim underwater, trying to catch them before they get to the other side of pool.

I love to swim!

2.

I’ve seen every episode of Vanderpump Rules—I’ve even eaten at Sur Restaurant where some of the show is filmed, had the goat cheese balls (iykyk),  and even saw some of the cast! I've also watched every episode and iteration of Below Deck and love watching Million Dollar Listing LA (sometimes I daydream about living in California).

Watching Bravo is my guilty pleasure.

3.

My favorite lyric of all time is in their song Sara, "Drowning in the sea of love, where everyone would love to drown." I love this lyric! It's so true, and I hope you're drowning in the sea of lovc!

I like listening to Fleetwood Mac.

4.

I have two dogs (both Australian shepherd mixes) and people have told me that I've started to look like one of them—especially after one of them gave me a black eye by accident LOL.  I love taking them on walks and booping their cold wet noses.

I also have 3 cats which rule the house. They're lots of fun to play with, but don't like the nose boops quite as much.

I'm a huge pet lover!

5.

Sure, there's a lot of great flavors out there, but nothing beats good ol' carrot cake in my opinion.

I enjoy a good piece of carrot cake.

6.

I love going to the Dells with my family! As mentioned above, I just love swimming, so water parks–like Noah's Ark–are a favorite of mine. My family and I also love Wizard Quest in Wisconsin Dells. It doesn't matter what age you are, it's a good time!

Wisconsin Dells is my go-to vacation spot.

7.

I love going out and trying new foods and I'm always on the look out for a meals that are well made. I once had a Monty Cristo Sandwich that was so amazing I spent several years searching and trying to find one that tasted that good.  Unfortunately, I ever did get the same high that I got from trying it for the first time. So while the magical Monty Cristo remains illusive, I do enjoy eating out at all of the Dubuque resturants—especially Lina's Thai Bistro! But if I'm in the mood for fast food, it's Culver's all the way. Everything there is great!

I'm a bit of a foodie.

Why Weddings?

of all the things I could be doing...

To put it simply—I love it! Sure... most wedding photographers will tell you that they love what they do, but it's true. The thing I love about photography is that I get to tell people's stories in a fun, expressive way. And weddings are a huge part of anybody's story! There's so much love, joy, and excitement at a wedding, and it all goes by so fast—I want to help people be able to savor all of those moments! From the rush of saying "I do" to the laughter of watching friends boogie on the dance floor... I love being able to not only capture what the night looked like, but what it felt like.

So, why wedding photography? Because every story is important, and I love helping couples capture every moment of it.

Let's tell your story
